Dedicated Network Solutions

If this solution to performance problems or security?
A customer needs to access its firewall found in our computer system behind ours. No one was able to configure our routers, firewalls, they happen. The solution was to connect their computers via a switch in our T1 router so that it does not behind the firewall. We do not have dedicated network staff, and just wanted to know if there are any problems with this solution.
I would argue that there are no problems. Others might not agree. My argument was simply this: If you trust your customers enough to make him his own computer behind the firewall seek, and you leave him to his own computer by any mechanism access, then you are already familiar to him to operate on both sides of the firewall. So there is no additional Exposure in which to connect it to another computer behind the firewall. Now my argument does not apply if the customer has not been adopted allows unlimited access to his own computer. For example, if part of the agreement allows the customer to a computer behind the firewall site is that it has no direct or limit access to this computer, then you give him direct access right on their own computers against this policy. The point is what can connect the computer that you allowed him to connect the computers, he was already allowed, was able to connect. So there is no additional burden, if he could have access anyway connected to the computer, which was already behind the firewall. I could see, others disagreeing on the grounds that the risk of accidental exposure increases in this way. For example, if he his computer through access to a dedicated, could thus connect to console him make his own computer, that computer with a virus to spread to other computers behind the firewall. So there is an argument made that there be a greater risk of accidental injury by allowing him to enter an "accidental" computer behind the firewall.
